Times Opinion is looking for an experienced and wide-ranging editor for a temporary role (six-month engagement) editing Op-Ed’s for our daily Opinion report and Sunday Review. This editor will work with a team of editors to commission and edit opinion pieces on a wide range of subjects (from experts on the pandemic and economic policy to first-person accounts from Uber drivers to personal essays from writers all over the world). This editor will play a key role in evaluating submitted pieces, line editing pieces from regular contributors and bringing in new voices to the Times. Creativity, a collaborative spirit and intellectual curiosity are as important as  excellent line-editing skills.This is a Guild position.
