Fellowship -- Audio Producer

Join the 2023 New York Times Fellowship class as a member of the Audio team, working as a producer on The Daily. The Daily is consistently ranked the top daily news podcast in the country. The show works in collaboration with journalists across The Times, and every episode brings listeners a single story with nuance, depth and context. We feature produced interviews with Times journalists, but we also interview people living through news events — and we use the tools of narrative audio documentary to make our stories vivid and immersive. The fellow will work alongside producers and editors from pitch to publication. Some days, the fellow might hunt for archival tape and build montages. Other days, the fellow might find and book a guest or collaborate on writing a script. The fellow may also assist with live tapings.
