The New York Times is looking for a strong graphics editor who will create interactive graphics for The Times’s coverage of day-to-day weather and extreme weather events. This graphics editor will work with fellow designers, developers and editors, both on the weather data team as well as in Graphics and Interactive News, to produce analytical journalism and create new visual approaches to weather coverage. Projects will very likely include live displays of weather data, interactive maps, statistical visualizations, data analysis, animations, and creative approaches that don't yet exist. The editor will pursue original reporting and will be expected to exercise journalistic and visual judgment to ensure the accuracy and clarity of their work. As part of your cover letter, please submit links to examples of projects in which you have demonstrated these skills.
