The New York Times Audio team is hiring a producer for a new tech podcast. The producer should love both the complex world of the Internet and the format of a reported and accessible chat show. You should also bring an enthusiasm for the kind of startup environment that comes with developing a new show, and a spirit of collaboration (you’ll be working with the hosts closely in the studio, with editors and with the wider Times newsroom). Not only will you be part of a small team making the show from scratch, you’ll help work on all aspects of production, including pitching topics, shaping ideas, participating in tapings and assembling sessions. Ultimately, the best candidate is someone who brings curiosity to what’s happening in tech and has bold ideas about creating a compelling listen.
