The New York Times Video Unit is looking for a Senior Producer to help oversee video’s live news coverage in the evenings. We’re looking for a talented storyteller and experienced manager who’s passionate about breaking news. The candidate should be able to work autonomously to help set the video team’s news agenda, in close coordination with newsroom priorities. They will need to identify critical stories and storytelling opportunities for news moments in the U.S. and around the world.

This senior producer will oversee everything from standalone news clips to short-form videos to live streams. They will manage a team and work in collaboration with the newsroom to assign coverage, identify, verify, edit and publish video material on-site. This role will require working with the newsroom’s Live team, and our ideal candidate has experience working in a control room, and is eager to innovate, with the goal of showing our audience what’s happening as it's happening. Experience working in video or broadcast news is essential, and experience at a digital news outlet with photo, graphics, or design is an asset.
