The New York Times Audio team is looking for a senior audio producer for our hit tech news show. The producer should love the complex world of the internet. You should also bring an enthusiasm for the weekly chat show format, a spirit of collaboration (you’ll be working with the hosts closely in the studio and with the wider Times newsroom) and a willingness to create bold work. You’ll dig into all aspects of production, including pitching topics, booking and prepping guests, assembling sessions and editing tape with ease and speed.
The position is full-time and temporary for 3-6 months.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years experience in audio production
Experience producing interviews, engineering recording sessions, and shaping interviews with a sense of the big idea
Ability to cut tape quickly, efficiently and with strong editorial judgement for pacing, structure and journalistic detail
Demonstrated experience producing the chat show format, production in any improv/comedy show format a plus
Expertise in audio editing, ideally using Pro Tools
Experience working with hosts
Experience in a fast-paced news environment
Strong interest in technology and the internet

The annual base pay salary for this role is between $120,126.82 and $135,000.00.
