The New York Times Opinion department is looking for an experienced audience editor, armed with expertise and curiosity, to coordinate its presence on the homepage and off-platform during evening and Sunday shifts. The assignment is expected to be a minimum of eight months starting in May 2021, with the opportunity to extend as needed, up to a year. We're seeking a candidate who is highly organized and enjoys the changing nature of digital journalism. You will be creative and collaborative, excited to work closely with editors, producers, designers and the rest of the Opinion Audience team. They should also be comfortable making decisions independently, given the hours of this position. You can navigate distribution tools, trends and tactics with ease, and you're eager to experiment with ways to engage with our audience.
