The News-Gazette, a medium-sized daily in a Big Ten town, is looking for two versatile, ambitious reporters to join a newsroom that's been named best in its class by the Illinois Press Association eight of the last nine years.
While these are general assignment beats, there is an emphasis on 1) criminal justice and 2) business in replacing two 40-year-plus journalists set to retire. Experienced candidates are welcome as are fresh-out-of-school journalism grads; we have a mix of both in our vibrant, multi-media shop that includes three radio stations.
