The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Western Pennsylvania’s largest newspaper and winner of both the 2022 and 2023 Keystone Media Awards’ top honor among the state’s largest newsrooms, is looking for a talented reporter to join our News & Investigations team to cover politics and governing. This reporter will cover a mix of local and statewide politics and elections. The ideal candidate has a passion for politics and campaigns, a collaborative spirit, a proven ability to build sources and break news, and the skill and metabolism to juggle breaking news, daily news, quick-turn enterprise and longer-term enterprise.
These are stories for Post-Gazette readers who want to know how power and policies in Washington, Harrisburg and elsewhere affect our region and the state — and how the Pittsburgh area fits into one of the country’s most fiercely competitive battleground states. The eyes of the region, the state and the country will be on Pennsylvania before and throughout 2024
