Summer Interns

The Post and Courier is seeking applications for its paid summer internship program.

We are looking for talented students or recent graduates to spend 10 weeks working with The Post and Courier newsroom as a full-time reporter, photographer/videographer, page designer/copy editor or digital journalist. We will accept three interns this year. The 10-week experience will be designed around the strengths and goals of the interns we hire. In your cover letter, describe your ideal internship, share how you would use it to grow and what you would bring to our collaborative newsroom.

A growing, independently owned news organization based in beautiful Charleston, S.C., The Post and Courier’s local owners have deep roots in the community and care deeply about this newspaper and its reputation. Interns are paid $10 per hour for a 37.5-hour work week; they will be responsible for producing daily journalism just like the rest of the full-time staff.
