The San Diego Union-Tribune is looking for a digital journalist with a passion for sports to lead a team of seven reporters and four editors. We cover a great sports region that includes Major League Baseball, Division I colleges, women and men’s professional soccer, a great running scene, The PGA and LPGA tournaments, minor league hockey and more. The Union-Tribune was named California’s best large newspaper in 2019; best in the state for in-depth digital reporting in 2020; and best in digital story presentation in 2021. We are a collaborative newsroom where journalists of all backgrounds work shoulder to shoulder without regard to title or status. Digital publishing is our top priority, and we expect everyone to take a hands-on role.
