About the role
A crucial member of the head of health you will be responsible for implementing the evergreen content strategy
Working alongside the head of health you will be responsible for the planning, commissioning, editing and the updating of the evergreen content
Your role will involve working with many different people in the newsroom to ensure the evergreen content is original and compelling and created to the highest possible standard
A creative self-starter your role will involve ensuring our utility journalism is the best in class
You will need to be motivated and have lots of great ideas for developing this key area for the Telegraph audience.
This is a senior commissioning role. You will need to be across the daily news agenda to ensure our long lead health features are updated and showcased at the optimum time.
You will also liaise with designers/picture editors/visual storytelling and social departments to ensure that all content is produced to the highest standard and reaches maximum engagement.
Key responsibilities
Assisting the head of health in implementing the content strategy
Updating evergreen guides
Liaising with SEO and social on a day to day basis to stay on top of what’s trending on search and social
Writing briefs for art, visual storytelling and graphics department to create compelling visual assets for evergreen pieces
Writing and briefs and compiling boxes and additional elements to evergreen features
Writing evergreen features where necessary
Generating original ideas, reacting to the daily news agenda for daily health features
Collaborate with visual storytelling and graphics team to ensure digital health stories are produced in the most premium way possible
Forge strong relationships with new and existing writers.
Proofreading and editing features as and when required.
Promote the Telegraph via events and media appearances, externally and internally.
