Managing Editor

So COVID-19 put our initial search on hold, but we're ready to renew that effort now for a managing editor who can take us to the next level. The Trinity Journal in beautiful Trinity County (far Northern California) is seeking a managing editor for its weekly newspaper, website, social media and associated products. Working with reporters, copy-editing and page/web production will take up 80-90 percent of your week. Wow us with what else you can do during the remaining time. The top candidate will have plenty of news experience and be energetic and self-motivated. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines are important. Adobe Suite skills a must. Web and photo/video skills a bonus. We're not the big city, but there's no lack of big issues to tackle. If you love the Great Outdoors, this is the place to be. Pay based on experience.
