Part of News Corp, The Sun is a global publisher and one of the biggest news brands in the UK. Our talented and diverse team publishes the best coverage of showbiz, lifestyle, news, reality TV, tech, money, and sport. In early 2020 we launched a US edition and have grown the business in the past two years to a 100+ company, hitting all traffic and revenue targets. We are now looking for a Deputy News Editor to support our ongoing expansion. The successful applicant will work with the News Editor to drive the news agenda and help oversee a growing team of reporters. The ideal applicant should have at least four years as a journalist including some experience editing news. The candidate will have a nose for what the next big story will be and a passion for breaking news. The position will be based in News Corp’s Midtown Manhattan office, which boasts a subsidized restaurant and a stunning gym that’s available to staff for $1 a day.
