The Wall Street Journal is looking for a news-savvy, entrepreneurial senior editor to join the newsroom team focused on content for professional audiences. The Wall Street Journal’s Professional Products group is made up of a dozen products, each with its own team and content portfolio targeted at specific professional groups. The deputy will help oversee the coverage that is generated across the teams, pulling together deep analysis and insights that help professionals understand and navigate critical issues affecting their industries and their roles. You should have business editing experience and also demonstrate an understanding and eagerness to delve into the various topics covered by our Professional teams, from corporate finance to cybersecurity to sustainability. You must also have a sense for what differentiates Professional/specialized content and broader news, in order to ensure our professional teams are serving their readers with valuable and actionable content. You will work with fellow Professional team members to help direct audience engagement and visuals. You will lead our efforts to build the team's audience analytics and help focus our coverage.
