The position offers wide latitude to explain emerging trends, the evolution of various sectors and the way economic change affects people’s lives. The position, based in Washington, will also include coverage of economic data reports and working across multiple platforms, including print, wsj.com , video, podcasts and newswires. You should be steeped in the use of data to support broad analytical features and compelling visuals, and comfortable covering breaking news at digital speed as well as taking deep dives. The position is in the the heart of the DC economics team, and you would be expected to work in a collegial manner with colleagues on the team as well as the visuals, graphics and podcast departments.
