The Wall Street Journal is looking for a Newsroom Talent Editor to lead recruitment, hiring, career support and diversity initiatives in assigned areas of the newsroom. You will be charged with finding, courting and hiring exceptional journalists who represent the diversity of experiences in the world in which we live and the audiences we serve, while also guiding existing staff with the career development and support they need to flourish and grow in their careers at the Journal. You will create a strategic partnership with Journal leaders in your assigned areas to build talent pipelines of best-in-class journalists and other professionals. You will work closely with the Assistant Managing Editor for Talent, other members of the newsroom talent team and other senior editors on the crucial work of ensuring that the WSJ newsroom is staffed with exceptional and productive journalists who are thriving in their roles and seeking to advance their careers. You will also work, in collaboration with the Culture, Training and Outreach team and other newsroom leaders, to promote a diverse, inclusive and welcoming newsroom. We are looking for candidates who are committed to the Journal and our mission and who can serve as an ambassador for our values.
