The Wall Street Journal is looking for a versatile, high-energy Personal Tech news reporter for a new role that entails writing quick-turnaround news articles and hosting a weekly tech video series. You will be joining the team as the main writer of informative, explanatory pieces based on trending tech news. The past few years have shown that readers want as much Personal Tech advice and explanation as possible, on everything from privacy concerns and password managers to Zoom classrooms and streaming video apps. You would be instrumental driving news, and will work alongside our popular Personal Tech and Family & Tech columnists. A core component of this role is hosting a forthcoming WSJ Personal Tech channel on YouTube. In this role, you will work with WSJ video journalists to script and tape a weekly video program covering top tech stories and user-facing technology issues. The YouTube channel will consist of a mix of trending topics and longer-lead features and explainers. You’ll be the face of this channel, reading scripts and speaking to camera in a conversational tone.
