Reporter, Central & Eastern Europe

New Posted 12 May 2022 | Warsaw, Poland | The Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal is seeking a veteran journalist to work as its Central and Eastern Europe correspondent. We are looking for an accomplished candidate who can report and write ambitious stories on this critical region’s economy, geopolitics and people. This is a job for a talented all-arounder who can cover topics ranging from economics to military affairs and geopolitics and the ability to both break news and to step back and write big thematic, analytical and narrative pieces. You will be covering the front lines of escalating confrontation between the West and Russia as the world faces the prospect of a new, global Cold War. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has called into question the security of NATO’s eastern flank in ways not seen since the demise of the Soviet Union. We are looking for a motivated correspondent capable of working independently, with little supervision, and also as part of the larger Journal team across Europe and around the world as we cover this important story.
