Senior Columnist and Editor, Heard on the Street

The Wall Street Journal’s Heard on the Street is looking for a senior columnist and editor who can play a key role in our ambitious expansion. The position, which will be based in New York, will include industry coverage, longer pieces of analysis and some editing.

The job requires a strong knowledge of business, in particular corporate finance and markets, and experience writing sophisticated commentary. We are looking for a person who can dig deep and think big about the most important issues facing business. Experience editing business coverage, especially analysis, is required, as is the ability to present financial data visually. We want someone who can guide other writers on coverage and push them to do ambitious work.

The new position is part of an expansion of Heard on the Street, the Wall Street Journal’s home for commentary and analysis. The Heard’s expansion will include more coverage areas, more ambitious visuals and more deeply reported columns and series.

The position reports to Ken Brown, the Heard’s global editor.
