The Wall Street Journal is looking for a Senior Video Journalist to join its Features video team in New York. Please note, this is not an entry-level position, and it is not a position producing documentaries. You should have an extensive professional background in video journalism, exceptional story development and scriptwriting skills for news, and have professional experience with shooting, editing and producing motion graphics for video.
We are looking for a journalist with solid news judgment and creativity to produce premium video content on tight deadlines. In this position, you will be tapped to cover timely, newsworthy feature stories with rich reporting in a visually creative way. You will be responsible for pitching, pre-production, booking, shooting and editing your videos as part of this role.
Top candidates for this position will have a deep understanding of WSJ’s core coverage areas. The ideal candidate will also have experience covering a broad range of topics from its economy and markets to politics and technology. To apply, please submit your résumé, a cover letter clearly outlining how your skills and experience meet or exceed the key candidate requirements, and links to five videos that represent the type of work described.
Candidates who do not submit cover letters will not be considered.
