The Wall Street Journal is looking for a skilled, highly creative editor to lead our newsroom on weekends. You will be our point person for news on Saturdays and Sundays, working closely with coverage leaders to ensure that we are on top of the news no matter when it happens. You will also oversee our publishing and platform teams on the weekend and help prepare our coverage and presentation plans. The position requires excellent news judgment, a strong sense of stories and copy, understanding of data and a deep appreciation of the values and mission of The Wall Street Journal. You will be a key voice as we set news and enterprise priorities for the weekend, gate-keeping our content and leading our efforts to deliver our journalism to our readers, viewers and listeners, across platforms and mediums. You will also be expected to work closely with reporting bureaus as well as direct and oversee the work of colleagues. This role on our team requires schedule flexibility, primarily with weekend hours. You will report to the Chief Digital Editor and be based in our New York office.
