The Wall Street Journal seeks an experienced, ambitious and versatile reporter to serve as a national correspondent in the western U.S. This position represents a special opportunity for a talented journalist to write about politics, economics, crime and the other issues that shape daily life in the Intermountain West and Pacific Northwest, as part of an expanding national news operation at the WSJ. Candidates should be seasoned reporters and nimble writers, comfortable juggling such breaking news events as wildfires, big crime stories and state and city politics with deeper enterprise reporting on the broader issues animating Americans, such as religion, race, immigration and demographic change.
