ABC News Digital is seeking a Reporter to join our Show Integration team. Are you a self-starter with critical-thinking skills and experience writing and delivering content during a fast-paced news cycle? What You Will Do:
The Digital Reporter, Show Integration will write articles and do original reporting based on broadcast scripts. The Reporter will also be working with social teams to build compelling content and promote broadcast initiatives. This reporter will be tapped to cover general assignment stories, as needed.
Write and execute daily stories based on ABC News network content
Turn around day-of stories with speed and accuracy
Transcribe interviews, and coordinate photographs and video clips
Must be able to take either a straight news or a feature approach to Digital articles
Collaborate with newsgathering and broadcast show teams
Identify fresh, engaging story ideas, angles and sources
Required Qualifications & Skills:
At least 3 years news writing experience – preferably for a digital news platform
Demonstrated ability writing clean copy on a deadline
Experience with web publishing and AP style
Consistent track record of collaborating with reporters and editors of all experience levels in a fast-paced newsroom
Education:
BA or BS from a 4-year accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in journalism from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Additional Information:
The role is based at the ABC News headquarters in New York City, but staff members are currently working a hybrid in-office/remote schedule. The schedule is generally 11 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, though this may change according to news coverage needs.

The hiring range for this position in New York is $78,800- $108,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
