WABC is looking for an experienced entertainment reporter with the ability to engage and connect with our audience authentically! The qualified candidate will demonstrate excellent on-camera reporting skills and be able to host special programming for events related to the entertainment industry, local lifestyle content, and the arts. This position requires strong contacts in the entertainment industry, with an emphasis on film and theater. While this role is assigned to WABC, the candidate will be required to create content that will be shared throughout the ABC OTV stations as well as other ABC/Disney platforms.
This role requires a self-starter who can multi-task and understands how to produce specialized content for various platforms. Great communication skills and a team-oriented demeanor is crucial, as well as the ability to represent our organization at community-facing events.

Researching, Writing and Reporting
This is a full-time staff position. The position is covered under the SAG-AFTRA - WABC-TV Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of on-air reporting experience in a top local market
A strong understanding of social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat, and YouTube)
Must be able to research, set up, edit, and write content daily
Experience with Adobe Premiere
Proven track record multitask and thriving in a high-pressure news environment
Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong newsgathering abilities
Proficient in AP Style
Proven knowledge of basic HTML
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate special events, including nights, weekends and holidays
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills required
Preferred Qualification
3+ years reporting experience in top 10 Market
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in New York is $180,000 to $200,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
