The Washington Times is seeking a Social Media Editor to promote our news articles and commentary as well as manage the company’s social media accounts. The Social Media Editor will be responsible for audience cultivation and engagement to increase traffic on all digital platforms. The ideal candidate understands the news cycle, has experience packaging content across multiple platforms, and is able to manage social media in creative ways. Also required is the ability to spot “talkers” before they go viral and present it in creative ways that attract readers and increase engagement. Requires experience in a fast-paced newsroom.
