The Well News is looking for an aggressive reporter to lead its health care coverage and join its team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience as a journalist, with a background in covering the policies and politics surrounding a wide range of high-profile health issues. This is an opportunity to lead a daily beat that touches the lives of every American. This role is responsible for generating story ideas for a sophisticated audience that includes industry executives, lobbying groups, policymakers and legislators. The reporter will be expected to have or develop sources in relevant government agencies, and connections inside and outside of state legislatures, including trade groups and lobbying associations.
