Senior News Editor

The Senior News Editor is an integral part of the Them editorial team. They are responsible for assigning, editing, and occasionally writing daily news coverage, as well as leading some of the site’s most ambitious feature reporting. This person should be passionate about all things LGBTQ+, but particularly legislation and activism related to LGBTQ+ rights in the U.S. and issues that affect LGBTQ+ Americans. They should have a strong background in assigning, editing, and fact-checking both trending news pieces and in-depth reporting. They should also be curious, enterprising, and committed to telling LGBTQ+ stories with care, integrity, and originality.
