Reuters is looking for an experienced and energetic newsroom leader with excellent news judgement and a flair for writing to drive our breaking news coverage of Japan — spanning everything from politics and economic policy to companies and energy — at a time when the world’s third-largest economy expands its regional and global profile. This is an action-packed leadership role. The successful candidate will lead a team of journalists generating breaking news coverage across a full range of topics and set our agenda for the day and week. Based in Tokyo, the Japan Breaking News Hub Chief will drive event coverage planning and monitoring of a wide array of sources, generating coverage across the story cycle, from news alerts and our first quick-hit stories on breaking news, to anchoring updates on the bigger stories of the day.
