Climate Visuals Editor, Reuters

We are seeking a Climate & Environment Visuals Editor to help guide, coordinate and sometimes produce video and picture stories about how climate change is affecting people around the world – their traditions, their daily lives and their futures. The successful candidate will be part of our global Climate & Environment Team tasked with bringing scientific and economic understanding to everyday stories about extreme weather, scientific research, global business, and climate diplomacy. When environmental news is breaking in the world, the Visuals Editor will play a leading role in developing smart, visual stories that help to explain the environmental or climate connections. We’re looking for a candidate with a clear vision for how Reuters should meet the growing demand for climate visuals from wire agency clients, as well as ideas for more ambitious projects on the beat. The successful candidate will have skills in visual storytelling, experience in leading projects and teams, and some background in climate and environment journalism. They be committed to providing coverage that represents a diversity of voices and perspectives.
