The successful candidate will play a leading role in reporting on the impact of the ongoing coronavirus crisis on global energy markets. They will produce differentiating stories that reveal the impact of a shift to sustainable energy and the challenges faced by oilfield service companies in 2022. They will be able to unravel how geopolitical tension between Russia and the West could have far-reaching implications for Big Oil and they will also track the fortunes of some of the world’s biggest mining companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of breaking company news and operating in a global team. They will be able to inspire a team of reporters, leading from the front to ensure that our coverage is accurate, fast, free from bias, and full of the context demanded by our global readership. An ability to report and write with clarity, speed and expertise is essential.
