Founded in 1851, it is committed to the Trust Principles of independence, integrity and freedom from bias. With unmatched coverage in over 16 languages, and reaching billions of people every day, Reuters provides trusted intelligence that powers humans and machines to make smart decisions. It supplies business, financial, national and international news to professionals via desktop terminals, the world's media organizations, industry events and directly to consumers at Reuters.com. Based in New York or London, and reporting to the President of Reuters, Michael Friedenberg, the Editor-in-Chief, Reuters will provide editorial and operational leadership to the organization. They will manage the day-to-day editorial operations for a worldwide news agency consisting of 2,500 journalists in 200 locations worldwide that encompasses text and visual, which serves the various customers (Refinitiv, Thomson Reuters, Agency, Professional and Machine) and platforms by which our editorial is experienced. The Editor-in-Chief is required to travel globally — to visit news bureaus, engage with governments in support of Reuters journalists abroad and support sales efforts as appropriate.
