Europe Correspondent
We are seeking a talented, high-energy journalist to join our award-winning team based in Brussels, home to the European Union, to report and give new insights on the impact of EU policies on people, society and the environment. The correspondent in this new role will cover policies that have a particular focus on some of the world’s most pressing issues, namely climate change, socio-economic (gender, gender orientation, racial) inclusion, and the impact of technology on society.

You will be expected to quickly develop a network of contacts around Brussels and in the other main EU institutions in Luxembourg and Strasbourg. You will produce daily news as well as exclusive and unique long form stories, exploring and articulating the practical impact of EU policies on lives across Europe and elsewhere and of cultural shifts. The ideal candidate must have excellent news judgment, be deadline driven, a self-starter with lots of ideas, and able to break news on a competitive beat. You will be versatile in balancing spot news with insightful enterprise that goes beyond daily deadlines. Teamwork and collaboration skills are essential and a pre-requisite.
