Reuters is looking for a journalist to join its Ukraine bureau and cover the biggest war in Europe for a generation. This is a rare opportunity to be a central part of a small team that is helping to anchor the world’s most important story. As fighting passes the three month mark there are scant signs of a quick end to the conflict and its global ramifications continue to escalate with millions of tonnes of grain trapped at Ukraine’s ports and energy prices soaring. At its heart the war is a humanitarian story and this role requires a journalist with the sensitivity and resilience to report its impact on people in Ukraine. But the successful candidate will also contribute to Reuters coverage of Ukraine’s politics, its economy and the country’s huge agricultural industry. She or he will work across all facets of the file from breaking news to writing fast analytical pieces and longer form stories.
