Visuals Journalist, Milan – Reuters

Reuters News & Media is looking for a dynamic and talented Visuals Journalist to join our Italy team based in Milan. You will be a talented photojournalist with proven ability to shoot and edit video. We are looking for a team player and a self-starter with plenty of initiative to generate story ideas and inject a creative approach to storytelling. You will have a good understanding of the news agenda in Italy – from politics and religion to sport and entertainment, to culture and new business. You will have excellent communication skills, an unflappable temperament, and a passion for newsgathering and visual storytelling. An ability to network and develop relationships with officials and important contacts that will result in access and fair treatment is crucial. The scope of the role ranges from the delivery of the fastest, differentiated images of breaking news and events in the most competitive circumstances, to the creation of structured pictures or multimedia stories, either as an individual or as part of a wider regional or global team. A commitment to preserving the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles of independence, integrity and freedom from bias is essential.
