Visuals Journalist, Spain – Reuters

Reuters Iberia is looking for a dynamic and talented Visual Journalist with a still photography background to join our team in Madrid to report from one of Europe’s most important countries. We are looking for a team player and a self-starter with plenty of initiative to generate story ideas and inject a creative approach to storytelling. She or He will have a good understanding of the news agenda in the region in its widest sense – from politics and immigration to sport and entertainment, to culture and new business. The pictures and video news industry is going through a period of significant change, driven by the rapidly changing habits of news consumers and ever-changing technology. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of still photography (DSLR) and video shooting and processing/editing. We want someone who has excellent communication skills, an unflappable temperament and a passion for newsgathering and visual storytelling, and is experienced in working in a team with visuals colleagues and reporters.
