We’re looking for a Staff Writer to be responsible for ensuring our websites enjoy maximum visibility in selected category areas by writing reviews, news stories, and other content related to smart homes and appliances.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Staff Writer, you'll work with the Homes Editor to set priorities and story ideas, write high quality articles on product-based/buying topics, ensure content is published and marketed effectively through the use of push notifications and social media and create and regularly update content, especially over key commercial events such as Black Friday and Boxing Day sales.

You'll organize and carry out effective, objective reviews of products, monitor rankings performance of key terms in the sector and ensure our content ranks well and write associated content such as analysis, opinion and interviews.

Experience That Will Put You Ahead Of The Curve

A keen interest and understanding of home and smart home products. We don’t expect you to be an expert initially, but you’ll grasp the challenge of becoming one very quickly.
Exceptional writing and editing skills - from the ability to write snappy headlines to tight grammar control, through to the ability to choose just the right image to attract readers.
Ability to deliver content quickly and efficiently.
An interest in and understanding of analytical and SEO tools.
Self-motivation. The team is split across several offices and continents, so you’ll need to be able to work independently and be willing to attend meetings at other offices as required
