Touchpoint Media is looking for a talented, self-driven and forward-thinking storyteller to join our team as associate editor.
We are a collaborative and fast-paced content marketing agency that partners with both local and global clients spanning a wide range of industries. We plan, produce and deliver content solutions across all media platforms, including websites and email, print collateral and magazines, social media, video and more.
The associate editor will work closely with clients and the Touchpoint Media team to deliver outstanding editorial support in the form of content strategy, reporting, writing, editing, proofreading and other duties. Subject matter is always changing, but some common themes include environmental sustainability, health and wellness, wealth management, and diversity, equity and inclusion. Content is tailored for both internal and external audiences, as well as specific B2B and B2C needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Create clean, engaging editorial content that meets client objectives and adheres to client style, tone and voice.
- Independently conduct professional interviews and research for assignments.
- Work directly with clients to ensure their objectives are met.
- Work closely with Touchpoint Media editors to complete and revise assignments on tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with the broader Touchpoint Media team, including graphic designers and video staff, and contribute to content strategy.
- Assist with content editing and proofing in all stages of the production process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years experience in content marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
- Demonstrated writing and editing ability across a variety of formats (please provide at least three examples of your best work).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to conduct in-person and remote interviews and communicate professionally with clients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized.
Working Conditions
The associate editor role is a 40-hours-per-week position. Those hours are to be worked based on a hybrid model, requiring three in-office days per week and two remote. The associate editor will work alongside editors, designers, sales staff and other team members in a high-energy, collaborative environment. We are located in a new office building in St. Louis Park’s dynamic West End neighborhood.
