What’s the role?

With more than 300 days of sunshine each year and surrounded by some of Australia’s most stunning landscapes, Townsville, North Queensland is a glorious place to work.

Magnetic Island is just a short ferry ride away, stunning beaches and walks are on your doorstep as well as the Queensland Country Bank stadium where huge sporting events – and international music acts such as P!nk – are already on the 2024 calendar.

The Townsville Bulletin is looking for an all-rounder who is comfortable covering everything from breaking news, court and local council to business, health, Defence, education and everything in between.

Regional newspapers like the Townsville Bulletin allow journalists to cover a diverse range of rounds from Day 1 that bigger publications may not, providing staff with immediate on-the-ground training and ongoing mentoring from esteemed journalists and newsroom leaders right across the country.

This is an opportunity for a go-getter to take their career to the next level at a company that provides exciting career paths to bigger newspapers in the News Corp fold.
