The health reporter will lead coverage of the top industry in the region, where the top employers are health care networks. You’ll be covering breaking news within the industry but also developing enterprise stories that illuminate a wide range of topics – from clinical breakthroughs and the impact of the covid pandemic to the economics of hospital mergers and the intense competition between hospital systems. The ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with the complexities of health care systems and is comfortable interviewing physicians, researchers and hospital executives. The candidate will have excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to identify stories and trends within the industry.
