The health reporter will lead coverage of the top industry in the region, where the leading employers are health care networks. You’ll be covering breaking news within the industry but also developing enterprise stories that illuminate a wide range of topics within health care – from clinical breakthroughs and the impact of the pandemic to the economics of hospital mergers and the intense competition between hospital systems. The ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with the complexities of the health care system and is comfortable interviewing physicians, researchers and hospital executives. The candidate will have excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to identify stories and trends within the industry.
