Communication and Public Relations Lead

University Health Services (UHS) seeks a Communication and Public Relations Lead responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies for the Chief Health Officer and university public health responsiveness, preparedness, prevention programs and other policy initiatives. The Communication and Public Relations Lead will collaborate with the unversity health service team that includes multimedia designers, writers, and web professionals in coordination with the university’s public affairs department. They will collaborate closely with other communicators in the division of Student Life as well as managers in the UHS department. This person will work closely with the Chief Health Officer and Chief of Staff to develop strategies to enhance the U-M community’s understanding of, and engagement and participation in public health policy and infection prevention, and also respond to emerging issues. Communication tactics may include talking points, press releases, articles, email, video, texting campaigns, infographics, direct mail, website content, social media posts, and more.
