The Missouri School of Journalism (University of Missouri-Columbia) seeks applications for an audio producer specializing in journalism and newsroom management, and an assistant professional practice professor. This Producer will serve as the Audio Managing Editor at KBIA, an Edward R. Murrow national award–winning radio station and a working laboratory for students of The Missouri School of Journalism. Responsibilities include assisting KBIA newsroom leaders in planning, supervising and producing news programming for radio broadcast, including daily news and in-depth reports, as well as public affairs programming. This producer will also engage in classroom teaching, faculty committee assignments and service to the profession of audio journalism. In addition, the faculty Audio Managing Editor will work on and facilitate cross-platform content with the school’s media holdings, which include a daily newspaper (the Columbia Missourian), a city magazine (Vox), a commercial NBC-affiliated television station (KOMU-TV), an NPR member station (KBIA-FM) and a digital statewide business publication (Missouri Business Alert).
