The successful candidate must have a passion for impactful journalism and the skill to drive innovative, investigative, and enterprise work. We are looking for someone who can accelerate digital innovation in content development, story-telling, and breaking news situations to help grow the newspaper’s digital audience. The Managing Editor will partner with the Executive Editor to focus on strategies that grow subscribers and drive unique news that readers can’t get anywhere else. With a population of 2.1 million, Columbus is home to four Fortune 500 companies, a diverse economy that includes stalwarts such as Nationwide Insurance, Honda, Victoria’s Secret, JP Morgan Chase, Wendy’s, and The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
