The Role
British Vogue is looking for an energetic, meticulously organised, and professional Associate Visuals Editor to support its multi platform Visuals team, with enthusiasm and efficiency. The successful candidate will have previous experience at a magazine, website, or newspaper, while the role calls for an individual with first-class organisational skills, great attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure. The role supports the Visuals Director and Digital Director, as well as Vogue’s editors and writers, ensuring that expectations are met, and strong content is created for all platforms. Candidates should have excellent technical and editorial judgement and a strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
A knowledge and passion for arts and culture – exhibitions, music, film, TV and books as well as, of course, fashion and lifestyle – is crucial, as is having a constant eye on the news agenda. She/he/they will be keen to gain a key step in a career in journalism, and will grab the opportunity to work with, and learn from, some of the best in the business at the world’s biggest fashion title.

What will you be doing?
Assist in researching, editing, resizing, colour correcting and archiving editorial image content for the Vogue website.
Have strong photographic and organisational skills to ensure all content meets Vogue standards for brand integrity and production quality.
Assist in the negotiations of photo fees and usage rights.
To assist in the creation of high quality homepage content including images, artwork, collages and illustrations if possible.
Work directly with editors and writers to maintain digital visual editorial content across multiple platforms.
Support the Visuals Director on production and administrative support for photo shoots across print and digital.
Who you are:
Experience working on an editorial picture desk or relevant field.
Must be familiar with the Vogue digital visual aesthetic and have a keen interest in beauty, fashion, entertainment and female empowerment.
Knowledge and experience of photographic sources, agencies and copyright law.
Demonstrated experience of Adobe Photoshop and digital design.
Highly organised, detail oriented, and have the ability to work to tight deadlines, as well as juggling priorities.
Ability to contribute to editorial brainstorms and develop visual stories across all platforms.
