Senior Producer, Development

Vox Media is seeking a Development Producer to partner with our Executive Producer and video and audio teams in developing and producing a new slate of ambitious content across mediums: short form videos, podcasts, and longer form premium docuseries. In this role a primary focus will be growing a multimedia brand around one of The Verge’s biggest talents. As Development Producer you will initially lead the development, production, workflow, and strategy of all creative properties built around our executive editor. Starting with our editor’s weekly column, you will work to convert that reporting into compelling short form video scripts. From there, you will focus on strategically growing the brand through larger media projects, including multiple podcasts, special projects, and longer form documentaries and TV series. You must be comfortable wearing many hats at different times - working simultaneously as a strong, hands-on story producer and script editor, and a savvy development leader, capable of transforming a kernel of an idea into a compelling proof of concept. The scope of the Development Producer’s role will eventually extend to other Verge video and audio initiatives.
