Unpaid Intern - Weather

WATE-TV is currently accepting weather Internship applications for the 2023 fall semester. Internships for this semester are unpaid. Interns must be receiving college credit. WATE 6 Storm Team internships are designed for aspiring broadcast meteorologists. Interns will work with the 6 Storm team to produce graphics for on-air and digital use, and learning how meteorologists forecast the weather.

Internship Details:

Internship schedules will be based on requirements from college or university
Interns will be well-supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience
Upon completion of the internship, students will be evaluated through a written review by the internship supervisor

Requirements & Skill:

Juniors and seniors studying broadcast journalism, video production, or other communication degrees
Internships must be for school credit
Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects
A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
Previous internship experience a plus

exert best efforts in receiving training and cooperate with and follow the instructions of employees of Company
maintain strictly the confidences of Company, the customers of Company, all information or data received regarding Company and any of its trade secrets or any other confidential business information received by the Student
