We are seeking a talented Website Editor to join our team and play a vital role in managing and curating content for our official website. The site is currently being reimagined and will be elegant and carefully curated. The website editor should love award shows, cinema, and fashion.
As the Website Editor for The Golden Globes, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our online presence. You will play a pivotal role in engaging our global audience, providing up-to-date information on nominees and winners, and showcasing the glamour and excitement of our annual awards ceremony. The website editor will write and will also assign stories.
Responsibilities for this role will include:
Content Management:
Oversight of the editorial calendar for the website, ensuring timely and relevant content.
Create, edit, and curate compelling content, including articles, interviews, features, and event highlights, including creating photo galleries.
Ensure that all content is accurate, aligns with our brand voice, and meets quality standards.
Website Maintenance:
Monitor and maintain the functionality and performance of the website.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement updates, enhancements, and improvements.
Ensure the website is mobile-responsive and user-friendly.
Event Coverage:
Provide comprehensive coverage of the Golden Globes awards ceremony and related events.
Coordinate with photographers and videographers to source and publish high-quality multimedia content.
Manage live updates during the awards ceremony.
Social Media Integration:
Work closely with the Social Media team to ensure seamless integration between the website and our social media channels.
Encourage cross-promotion of content to maximize engagement and reach.
Audience Engagement:
Analyze website traffic and user behavior using analytics tools.
Identify trends and opportunities for increasing audience engagement.
Implement SEO strategies to improve search engine visibility.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Public Relations, and Event Planning, to align website content with overall strategies.
Build relationships with industry professionals and talent representatives to secure exclusive interviews and content.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in website editing, content management, or digital publishing, preferably in the entertainment industry.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with an attention to detail.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), WordPress and basic HTML/CSS.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
A passion for the entertainment industry and an understanding of film and television.
Flexibility to work during the awards season and cover live events as needed.

Typical wage range: $85k - $100k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
