General Assignment Reporter

West Hawaii Today has an immediate opening for a General Assignment Reporter to help cover a wide array of issues affecting the Big Island from Naalehu to Honokaa. The ideal candidate will be an all-around journalist able to produce a strong balance of straightforward news reporting along with features and enterprise stories. The applicant should be willing to take photographs and/or shoot video for both our digital and print platforms with either a company digital camera or their own equipment. This position will pitch and write stories approved by editors and establish sources to form their own story ideas. Applicants with page design or graphic design experience are encouraged to apply.
