Supervising Producer: 21 News is looking for someone who can pivot on a dime and be a utility person assisting the news director in the production of newscasts and special news coverage. The supervising producer must be able to have the skills to produce newscasts, when needed, as well as help with the future development of the news product. The position requires creativity and someone who loves the world of news and strives to be number 1. The SP will bring ideas on how to freshen newscasts and will work with producers to implement such changes. The ideal candidate will have good news judgment, be a good broadcast writer, be a leader, good communicator and have much flexibility in the ever changing world of news. The supervising producer will help with the pre-planning of other news coverage to keep us competitive. This position is Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm with the possibility of helping, when needed, on the weekends and overnights. Some experience and a journalism degree preferred.
